The latest Crystal Creation is my By the Sea suncatcher made with sea glass, galvanized wire, glass beads, old chain, and salvaged parts. I love the soft glow of sea glass in the sunlight, and because this one is made with galvanized wire, it can hang in the garden without fear of rusting.
I raised three boys as a single mother while working full-time and renovating the old houses in which we lived. When every dollar counts, you become an expert at stretching each to its limit. Because I couldn't afford to hire anyone, I taught myself construction, painting, tiling, masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and decorating on a budget by recycling and re-purposing everything.
There's nothing I enjoy more than hunting down treasures in thrift stores, consignment shops, flea markets, salvage yards, and garage sales. I've also been known to dumpster dive and raid curbside cast-offs for my projects. Everything has potential if you look at it the right way.
